Linguineo welcomes collaborations with researchers interested in investigating AIsupported language learning.

Research topics. We are currently prioritising controlled, experimental designs. Some areas of particular interest include:

  • The effectiveness of AI-powered conversational practice (voicebots and chatbots) for L2 development.
  • The impact of AI-powered conversational practice on affective variables such as willingness to communicate, self-confidence, and anxiety.
  • Comparative studies examining L2 outcomes and gains across language learning technologies (e.g., open-AI, language apps).

Would you like to give your students more opportunities to speak in the target language? Do you want to test the latest technologies in your class? Do you want your teaching to impact the future of conversational AI for language learning? We partner with a select number of schools each term to run structured pilots of our AI language learning tools. Pilot partners receive onboarding support, dedicated access to our team, and the opportunity to co-design their own pilot materials. We review all applications within two weeks and will be in touch to let you know whether your proposal is a strong fit.
