At Linguineo, we don’t just teach languages – we help people talk themselves into a new one! Our AI Studio is where cutting-edge conversational AI meets task-based language learning (yes, we’re those nerds who get excited about technology ánd language). We’ve built a whole toolkit of AI-powered language learning components, including:

  • Custom speech recognition for language learners – so even if you sound like a tipsy foreign exchange student, we’ll still understand you.
  • Pronunciation analysis – because “je suis” doesn’t sound like “juice we.”
  • Adaptive learning algorithms – tailoring exercises so you improve fast.
  • Personalized feedback – from phoneme-level pronunciation corrections to full grammar feedback.

But technology alone isn’t enough. We integrate:

  • Scientific research – because we actually care about what works in language learning.
  • Didactical expertise – especially in task-based language teaching, a proven method.
  • Design thinking & user-centric approaches – because an AI that nobody enjoys using is like a joke that lands flat.

  • Publisher Plantyn: helping pupils to speak French with confidence.
  • The NedBox app: from uneasy lift chats to fluent Dutch.
  • Pol: a talking buddy for foreign-speaking children to learn Dutch we are creating together with CTO and D-Teach.

Beyond language learning: software that speaks your industry

While our hearts beat for language learning, our expertise extends beyond it. We’ve got projects running in HR, education, gaming, and youth aid. In particular, we have a soft spot for projects that create real social value.

Some of our projects that go beyond language learning:

  • HR & Recruitment: together with fitme.jobs and Glowi, we are building a candidate centric chatbot-driven recruitment flow for blue-collar workers, helping them navigate careers and apply for jobs seamlessly.
  • Gaming: we built a platform that enables game characters that truly understand the game world they live in. This platform is used in our own game Language Hero and an undisclosed game that is still in development.
  • Youth aid: Opla and LifeCity/LifeTree, respectively designed to provide assistance to parents and children/youngsters.

How we build smart solutions

Every project we do is unique, but we always follow a structured, efficient, and user-driven approach.

Phase 1: Concept development (typically 2 months)

We co-create with you to fine-tune the idea before we even start coding. This means:

  • Validating the value proposition.
  • Building early prototypes.
  • Testing with real users -because AI that doesn’t work for humans is just a really expensive math problem.
Phase 2: Graphical design (typically 1 month)

We take the rough prototype and make it beautiful, intuitive and usable, even for the tech-challenged.

We work iteratively with clients to ensure that the final user experience makes sense.

Phase 3: Development (typically 3 months – 1 year)

Now, we code! We use agile sprints, so:

  • You get to see progress every 2 weeks.
  • Adjustments happen before it’s too late.
  • Transparency is key – you always know where we are in development.
Phase 4: Pilot testing (typically 3 months – 1 year)

We test with a real audience before the big launch. This phase:

  • Uncovers last-minute issues.
  • Lets us tweak based on real-world feedback.
  • Ensures that when we go live, everything works well.
